Author Elizabeth Norton Talks Books, Careers and Fast Famous Women In-Person
Join local author Elizabeth Norton for a conversation about books, careers and Fast Famous Women!
In the recently published book, Fast Famous Women: 75 essays of flash nonfiction, Liz Norton wrote about her mother’s and Janet Yellen’s careers, as well as her own. After a reading from the book, she will open a conversation about women’s careers through the decades. There are many women that have come back to Woodbury, or relocated here, or we born and raised here could and have many different experiences to share.
Elizabeth Norton is a writer and singer. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, she worked for many years as a science writer for MCI Communications, the Charles A. Dana Foundation, and Science Magazine. Drawing on her experience with singing, breath work, stage fright, and neurobiology, she coauthored The End of Stress as We Know It, a book about the science of stress. She is currently working on a novel and taking an online computer course—yes, she is Learning to Code. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she lives in Connecticut on a small farm encroached upon by invasive plant species.
