Tourette Association of America Parent Advocacy Series: The Neurodivergent Student In-Person
The Tourette Association of America is offering an in person Parent Advocacy Series at the WPL.
This series will bring high level, advanced knowledge to help prepare Parents of neurodiverse students’ better advocate for their children with their schools. The TAA spends a lot of time and resources educating schools about students with Tourette’s Syndrome, the goal of this series is to educate the Parents on how to get the best outcomes for their children through various programs available in the education system. Every Parent who completes this series will be better equipped to have a successful 504/IEP meeting or even a simple discussion with their child’s teacher about how to best support their child in the classroom. This series will focus on neurodiverse students, specifically students with TS, OCD, and/or ADHD.

Discussion of the Neurodivergent Student – Neurodiversity in schools, TS and beyond
The Parent Advocacy Series will be presented in four parts with expert speakers from the TAA for each topic. Parents/caregivers can come to the sessions that will be most meaningful for them with the option of attending all four.
